All of the above. It depends on what phone you want to get.
Walmart: best for low prices, and phones that are current. They usually don't have the best prices for phones that are the latest (like the lackberry bold) AT&T: not the best prices, but have all models that they sell. Usually is best for high end devices and the newest technology Best Buy: Great customer service, and will pricematch walmart.

What phone are you looking for? or if you aren't sure, what do you want in your phone?

Thanks a lot. Good to know that Bestbuy pricematch Walmart. Actually I was looking for a phone for my parents. They just got the Samsung A737 from the AT&T store.

that phone and any other samsung phone is a great choice. I used an orang a737 up until december, when i upgraded my phone.
You might want to let your parents know that as soon as the battery icon drops from 3 bars to 2, they need to charge it. The phone batter will die very shortly there after. You can also try to get a new battery for the phone, AT&T is really good at warranty work on the phone, a battery replacement is instant if the battery is in stock and about 5 days when they need to ship it from the parts warehouse.

Thanks, very good to know. How long the warrenty covers the phone and the battery? You mean even at fully charge, when it only shows two bars, it means it is time for a new one?

a believe the warranty lasts as long as you are with the company. The warranty is only one year... at least for batteries. the battery should remain at 3 out of 3 bars for about 2-3 days, and then it will drop to 2 out of 3 bars. Once it turns to the point with 2 of 3 bars, the phone battery kinda of just runs out of electricity about an hour later. You will need to recharge the phone then.
If this becomes a problem, At&T is great about service and parts, it is instant if the battery is in stock, and about 5 days if they have to ship it - but they ship straight to your house.

wirefly.com seems always have "too good to be true" deals. Anybody knows any catch dealing with those sites?

Why is that? I know they don't have the best reception and speed.

I dont like it either. I have Sprint, and have never been happier. Great reception EVERYWHERE (except over the Pacific Ocean, i found, and way up in the California mountain ranges out of towns), reliable service, GREAT customer support, and some really rad phones.
some of the bad things I hear about AT&T: Bad reception High rates Slow service But good phones (Hint: iPhone)
Don't quote me on this, but that's just what i've been hearing from friends.

I've been using PacBell -> AT&T - > Cingular - > New AT&T for over ten years. Reception is not the best but they've made significant improvement over the years. So far their customer service and support are acceptable. Their rates on phones, plans, charges are competitive. I missed the 1 year contract era. I like their rollover minutes features and using sim card so I can swap phone anytime I want with phone book attached. Also, once the phone is unlocked, you can use it with any GSM carrier.
Any one using MetroPCS?

metro pcs?? i knew someone that was thinking about getting it.... then someone told him about how bad the reception was and how there was little coverage. he didnt get it. dont quote me on that tho. i dont have metro pcs so i dont know for sure.
\i have tmobile and i like them a lot. reception is good...........once you get reception. thats the problem i have wth tmobile. when you dont have reception, it kinda takes some time to get some....and every now and then, it would go from full bars to zero.....and then you'd have to wait again. don't get me wrong though, tmobile still is great stuff though.
