We're announcing a new project!

We're planning on the creation of a mobile website... this site will be accessible from mobile phones. We will be integrating the forums for sure, but we want to know... what do you want to see?

See part of it live: http://m.jhs.net

Great idea.  That's the way to go in the future.  A big chunk of the web traffic will be on mobile devices.

Usually if a site has both versions, on the primary homepage of the site, people will add the script to detect what browser the user is using and direct them to the proper version of the site.

Give it a try!

I would like to see a link that allows a mobile user to interface with the home page as viewed on a computer. I was going to check an error I might have found earlier, but cannot since I am unable to altogether view the home page.

Good suggestion since the browser detection logic doesn't always right and web designer should provide a link linking back to the PC version of the page  Wink

Interesting, using screen resolution might work even better than browser detection, but I believe it only works with newer browsers since the old browsers can't detect the screen resolution.  But still, like people using iphone or ipod can display regular webpage well, so they might want an option.

Keep up the good work guys!

By any chance have we done anything to further the Mobile site? I'd really like to be able to visit the home page from my mobile unit, but I can't.

I believe that, for time's sake, we're using html. Also, it's something we all know how to tweak, if need be.
